Fire Creek Mine

The Fire Creek Mine is an underground mine that is operating a bulk sampling program located in north-central Nevada, owned and operated by Hecla Mining Company. Tierra Group conducted a siting analysis as part of the Preliminary Feasibility Study for a new waste rock storage facility (WRSF) to support the mine’s future production increase. Tierra Group then prepared a WRSF design which was included in the Preliminary Feasibility Study submittal.

In addition to supporting the Preliminary Feasibility Study, Tierra Group prepared and submitted several Engineering Design Changes to increase the existing WRSF life and to store additional ore on top of the existing WRSF that is no longer in operation.
