Statement of Qualifications

Earth and its environment provide the natural resources necessary for life. It is mankind’s most precious commodity, whose resources are finite, yet necessary to sustain and expand society. Using Earth’s natural resources modifies the environments natural balance creating both positive and negative impacts. The key to environmental management is balancing the effects of mankind’s earthly modifications to promote life while minimizing impacts harmful to achieving environmental balance. With respect to mankind’s natural resources (excluding water and air), it is said, “If it can’t be grown, it must be mined”. Think about it. It's a given. Developing Earth’s natural resources requires human interaction with the Earth and its environment.
