Tierra Group conducted an Independent Technical review of Vista Gold Corp’s Mt. Todd Tailings Storage Facility Expansion in Northern Territory, Australia.

Tierra Group assisted the 2025 Mt. Todd feasibility study project providing TSF and waste rock dump design and water management support. The project plans to raise the existing TSF and build a new TSF with combined storage capacity of 180 Mt. Tierra Group used its previous experience on the project along with work from other consultants to develop raise designs for the existing facility and the new TSF. Challenges adapting original dam designs to modern standards were overcome resulting in designs that meet current global tailings storage expectations. Tierra Group was an integral part of the FS Team contributing to the updated FS CAPEX and OPEX cost estimates.
