Dam Breach Analyses

Tierra Group prepared a DBA to evaluate potential downstream impacts due to a hypothetical failure (breach) in three components of Empire State Mines (ESM) tailings storage facility (TSF): North Dam (ND), South Dam (SD), and West Perimeter Dyke (WPD). In addition, Tierra Group developed the ESM Operations, Maintenance, and Surveillance (OMS) Manual and Emergency Action Plan (EAP).

Geotechnical Characterization Study

Tierra Group performed a geotechnical characterization study, including geotechnical field investigation (drilling and sampling), laboratory testing, geotechnical analyses and report, and operational engineering analysis.

Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) 4 Technical Studies

Tierra Group provided technical support services, including a dam safety review (DSR) report, GoldSim water balance, and developed a TSF trade-off study to identify potential expansion opportunities.
