Tierra Group llevó a cabo una revisión de Seguridad de la Presa (DSRs, por su sigla en inglés) para las instalaciones de depósito de relaves de Nyrstar (TSFs, por su sigla en inglés) ubicadas en Tennessee, Estados Unidos. Tierra Group ejerció como Revisor de Relaves para garantizar la conformidad con las regulaciones locales, Estándar de instalación de Depósito de Relaves de Nyrstar, y para evaluar el desempeño actual y pasado de la instalación relacionada con la seguridad de la presa. La función primordial de Tierra Group fue llevar a cabo una inspección de seguridad de la presa, revisión de documentos, entrevistas y capacitación para el personal de operaciones, y un reporte de seguridad de la presa. Las operaciones de las minas de Nyrstar en Tennessee están divididas en dos grupos de activos, conocidos individualmente como el Centro de Tennessee (MTN, por su sigla en inglés) y el Este de Tennessee (ETN, por su sigla en inglés). Cada operación de MTN y ETN consiste de tres minas individuales, una planta de procesos, instalaciones de depósito de relaves y las actividades de soporte y mantenimiento.
