El Mina Sterling

La Mina Sterling es una mina subterránea de oro ubicada en el sur de Nevada. La recuperación de oro se realiza mediante lixiviación en pilas y en una planta de adsorción-desorción-recuperación en carbón (ADR). Los miembros del equipo de Tierra Group tienen una larga historia en Sterling que comenzó con la planificación del cierre final permanente del pad de lixiviación y la observación de las actividades de cierre (Vector, 2004 a 2005). Tierra Group diseñó un nuevo patio de lixiviación en la mina Esterlina, ubicada cerca de Beatty, Nevada en 2014. Tierra Group también desarrolló diseños y paquetes de cambios en el diseño para un proyecto de relleno de espacio de de cuña del pad de lixiviación, una pileta de planta de proceso y la reconfiguración de tubería requerida para soportar el nuevo patio de lixiviación. El nuevo diseño del patio de lixiviación fue aprobado para la construcción por NDEP pero debido a las condiciones económicas y a los requisitos futuros de permiso el patio no se ha construido. Siendo empleado de Vector Nevada, LLC, uno de los fundadores de Tierra Group desarrolló el Plan final de cierre permanente (FPCP) para el cierre del patio de lixiviación y las piletas de proceso asociados al sitio. El alcance del trabajo incluyó el diseño y la evaluación de la cubierta del suelo propuesta para el cierre del apilamiento, desarrollo de un plan de gestión de aguas superficiales, especificaciones técnicas de construcción, manual de construcción QA/QC, supervisión durante las actividades de construcción del sitio, y desarrollo del informe as-built para su presentación a NDEP.
