2023 Dam Inspections/Review

Tierra Group completed a site visit to inspect three tailings storage facilities (TSFs) and the Evaporation Pond. In addition to the site visit and dam inspections, design and monitoring reports (prepared by others) were reviewed for each facility. Tierra Group prepared a report summarizing the inspection and data review findings.

TSF2 OMS Manual Update

Tierra Group updated the TSF2 Operation, Maintenance, and Surveillance (OMS) Manual. The update was completed to reflect facility operations and personnel changes to ensure compliance with the Canadian Dam Association (CDA) and Mining Association of Canada (MAC) guidelines.

Snow Canyon | Rock Disposal Area Closure

Tierra Group provided the civil engineering design of a Rock Disposal Area (RDA) closure, including facility regrading and covering/capping with geosynthetic liner and cover soil or synthetic cover. Completed associated surface water management and prepared a permitting submittal to NDEP, including plan set, technical specifications, and engineering design report.

Tierra Group then prepared the Final Plan for Permanent Closure (FPPC) for this inactive waste rock dump.
