Mina Aranzazú

La mina Aranzazú es una mina de cobre-oro-plata ubicada en la región noreste de Zacatecas, Méjico. La mina incluye tanto operaciones a tajo abierto como subterráneas. Actualmente el molino procesa 2,600 toneladas de mineral por día. Tierra Group fue responsable de la investigación geotécnica final y el diseño de detalle de un nuevo depósito de relaves. La investigación geotécnica incluía pozos de ensayo, perforaciones y la aplicación de métodos de sondeo geofísico para caracterizar la geología de la superficie y dar soporte al diseño final de ingeniería. Este diseño de Ingeniería incluía la evaluación hidrológica e hidráulica del sitio; el desarrollo del balance masa/agua de la instalación; diseño geotécnico de la presa (sísmica, estabilidad, deformación, licuefacción y consolidación); y diseño civil (diseño de la presa y gradiente de su embalse). Tierra Group también realizó investigaciones geotécnicas y el diseño de ingeniería para una presa de inicio de 30 m de altura, que será seguida por el diseño de un recrecimiento de 30 metros adicionales aguas arriba, para relaves provenientes de un sistema de ciclones.
